This is our Drawing Room, overlooking the cottage gardens with magnificent views of the Weir and Kilcolgan Castle this is a splendid room with bay window, French doors and marble floor, finished with Persian rugs, Beaumont & Fletcher wallpaper, Victorian walnut cottage piano and Louis X1V Marble fireplace which is flanked on either side by 2 large Victorian crystoleum. The room has soft lighting, luxurious sofas and beautifully upholstered chairs and ottomans offer various seating areas for conversation, reading or unwinding.

Dinning Room

This is our beautiful dining room. Weir Haven guests can dine in comfort and luxury in these beautiful surroundings. Our delicious organic breakfast and home-baked breads include local ingredients wherever possible and we are delighted to cater for you on request or make a booking at a nearby restaurant, such as the renowned Moran’s Oyster Bar.

The Entrance Hall

This is Weir Haven’s Entrance Hall. It is finished with marble floor and curved stairs, leading to a handmade stained glass window by the well known artist Catherine Lambe. The first floor landing has a most amazing turreted ceiling with large gilded lantern and Edwardian writing desk. “Magical place”

Beautiful house with plenty of stylish pieces of furniture. Cosy and comfortable, we were able to relax in the sitting room by the fire and our room overlooked the river. Kathleen was very helpful and kind. Breakfast was delicious.

The Weir House is a gorgeous home with many antiques, large rooms, barrel vaulted ceilings, a thatched roof and beautiful grounds. This is the kind of place that you would like to spend time in the sitting room in front of the fireplace with a good book. It is a great location for spending several days and is a great base for trips to the Burren, Aran Islands, exploring Kylemore Abbey, Cong, Galway, and the gorgeous Connemara countryside.

“A lovely haven to retreat and relax.”

This beautiful cottage is located close to the Atlantic ocean. If you look out of the window you see green madows, cows and swans on the Weir flowing into the ocean. The rooms are spacious and lovely decorated. We had a large bathroom and an infrared sauna to warm up after a stormy day. In the luxurious living room breakfast is served by the charming owner. You will get the best you ever had. It is absolutely a lovely haven to retreat and relax.
